Trainee Licence
Once you have passed parts 1 and 2 and have completed the required 40 hours training on part 3, the Driving Standards Agency Approved Trainee Licence scheme affords you the opportunity to instruct pupils to drive.
Working under a trainee licence helps you to gain experience and practice your Part three training.
You will work on the same basis as a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor for a period of six months.
Throughout the period of the licence you will be actively linked with a fully qualified trainer.
Your trainer will become your mentor offering ongoing and additional support, in and out of the car, while you continue with further additional part 3 training, which has to be undertaken whilst you are on the trainee licence.
